Front - door - knobs

There are 2 types of front door knob - centre or mortice. Centre door knobs are sold individually and are bolted onto the doors, acting much like a pull handle. Mortice door knobs are sold in pairs and are used to turn a latch - these are not so common because, on doors fitted with Yale locks, both hands are then needed to open the door.
